Tips for Getting more attendance at Celebrations

Do a raffle with the guests.

Example…they get 1 ticket for RSVPing…
1 ticket for arriving on time…
2 tickets for bringing a guest.

Have a themed party.

Example…girl’s night out, pajama party, baby shower, ice cream sundae party, margarita party.

Get your Hostess excited.

Schedule a follow-up visit with her to give her the party kit. Take your baby keepsake box with 4-5 products that you think she would like and show them to her. Talk to her about making up her wish list as her assignment.

Always have your Hostess invite each guest personally or by phone.

Give the Hostess a copy of Lorle’s book so she can really understand the full meaning of Once Upon a Family.

Spend a lot to time on product use and ideas. The more you bring the more you sell.

Never pre-judge a customer. She could be your next recruit or Hostess.

Always suggest a Celebration. Never wait for them to ask.

Look for non-traditional sales opportunities i.e.… Realtors, corporate gifts, MOPS groups, etc.

Tips for Hostess Coaching

Offer to let your Hostess borrow a Once Upon a Family product to show to her friends, family & co-workers to show our quality and a touching story of how to use the product.

Provide your Hostess with the language to effectively describe Once Upon a Family to friends and family.

Have Regular/Personal contact with your hostess prior to her Celebration (via phone NOT email, if possible). This is a great time to establish a comfort level with her and to make her aware of the many Hostess rewards, LLL clubs, etc.

Suggest to your Hostess to be excited and passionate to hand deliver as many invitations as possible. This will encourage attendance.

Encourage your Hostess to take along extra catalogs in her car to show to friends when she is out and about for the day. Explain that this is a great opportunity to get outside orders from those that cannot attend her Celebration.

Bookmark Tips from the 2005 Family Reunion

One of the sessions we did at last year's Family Reunion (2005) was a "Pajama Pod" Everyone came to the session wearing fun Pajama's, (anything comfortable) and fun slippers. The consultants spent time going to 12 different mini sessions to talk with leaders in Once Upon a Family. The leaders shared tips and ideas on a variety of subjects. This was a great time to meet other consultants and share and learn ideas. Bookmarks were collected at each group with tips included. Keep reading for a posting of all the bookmark tips!

New Consultant Workbook

Take time to print out the Once Upon a Family New Consultant Workbook. (Located under the Sales Tools -- 2006 Programs Section) There is great information and tools for your business.

Page 1 is the New Consultant Contact Information & Goal Sheet. This will have all the important contact information on it. If you are missing any contact info for me let me know and I will update you.

Additional information that I would like if you are willing to share -- Your Birthday, Spouse's name (and his e-mail), your anniversary date, Children's names (ages or birthdates)

Product Availability

Always check on the web site before you do a Celebration about Product Availability (this is under the Product Section of the Sales tools). There is information about what is out of stock and projected arrival. I will print this out and take to a celebration so that I have the reference

"I am always with you" was so popular that we have run out. This was a surprise to the home office, so bear with them.

If you have a customer who wants an item that is not currently available -- Have them fill out a "Call me when it's here" Form. (under Forms/Documents -- Sales Tools) This way you can notify them when it is available.

Any item not currently available cannot be inputted in the workstation and cannot count towards the hostess benefits.

The good news is that there has been a major inventory adjustments to lesson the problem with out of stock items (We have more data to let the company know the trends) Sometimes New Products will surprise us!
